Working Principle

The material enters the pellet press from above, then falls on the rotating drum and mould and is pressed through the holes in the mould. The material is compressed due to pressure and friction resulting in an increase in temperature, which is cooled to form firm pellets. The whole process is determined mainly by the moisture content of the raw material. The moisture content of the raw material ranges from approximately 12% to 20%. If the moisture content is low, the pellets cannot be made with the pellet press. If the moisture content is too high, the pellets coming out of the granulator will be soft.
