Sawdust is a major byproduct of wood processing, furniture manufacturing, and wood product industries, and is also a core raw material for biomass pellet fuel. Fresh sawdust has a moisture content as high as 35%-55%. High-moisture sawdust cannot be directly used for pellet production, is prone to mold and decay, and incurs high transportation costs. More importantly, sawdust consists of fine particles with a large amount of dust, making it highly susceptible to fire or even explosion during drying, which demands extremely high standards for equipment safety and process control.

Our Sawdust Triple-Pass Rotary Dryer is specifically designed for fine, powdery biomass such as sawdust, wood shavings, and wood flour. Utilizing three concentric cylinders nested inside each other, combined with an ultra-low-temperature high-air-volume drying processanti-blocking breaking device, and multi-layer safety protection systems, it rapidly reduces sawdust moisture from 35%-55% down to 10%-15%, providing ideal feedstock for pellet mills while ensuring operational safety.

Compared with traditional single-drum dryers, the triple-pass design achieves thermal efficiency exceeding 80%over 50% less floor space, and 40%-60% lower energy consumption.   • In the drying process of sawdust dryer, sawdust are first added to the bin by the forklift, and then the wood chips are evenly sent to the dryer by the belt conveyor for drying treatment.
  • Under the turning of the uniformly distributed shovel plate in the drying drum, it is evenly dispersed and fully touched with the hot air, which speeds up the drying heat transfer and mass transfer of wood chips and evaporates water. The sawdust dryer produced by our company is a sealed structure, which can reduce heat loss and improve thermal efficiency.
  • The dried wood chips flow from the discharge hopper into the belt conveyor, which finally transmits the dried wood chips to the designated place for storage. The upper part of the discharge hopper is the dust in the discharge process. After being treated by the dust removal system, it can achieve the purpose of environmental protection.
