Heat Source
There are many choices for the heat source of sand dryers, and the common ones are as follows:
- Coal-fired heat source: The sand is heated by the heat energy generated by burning coal. This method is cheaper, but requires attention to environmental issues.
- Fuel heat source: Use fuel as fuel, such as heavy oil, diesel, etc., to heat the sand with the heat generated. This method heats quickly, but the cost is relatively high.
- Natural gas heat source: Use natural gas as fuel to heat the sand through the heat energy generated by combustion. This method is environmentally friendly and has high heating efficiency, but it requires a natural gas supply.
- Electric heating source: The sand is heated by the heat energy generated by the electric heating element. This method is environmentally friendly and easy to control, but the energy consumption is relatively high.
- Biomass heat source: Use biomass fuel, such as wood chips, straw, etc., as fuel to heat the sand. This method is environmentally friendly and low-cost, but requires a supply of biomass fuel.

Sand Production Line Configuration
1.The sand enters the drying equipment from the feeding device (A vibration motor is installed on the side wall of the silo to prevent material clogging.The lower belt feeder is adjusted through a frequency converter to control the feeding speed). At this stage, the sand is moist and contains more moisture.
2.The heat source equipment (usually biomass pellets, coal, oil, gas and other fuels) starts to work and transfers heat energy to the drying equipment to heat it up.Different heat source configurations have different heat source burners.During this process, the sand dryer will produce a large amount of smoke and water vapor.
3. The high-temperature hot air generated by the hot air furnace is sent into the rotating drum and fully contacts the sand. The sand is continuously tumbling in the rotating drum, which increases its surface area and accelerates the evaporation rate of water, thereby achieving the drying effect. When the machine is working, the material and hot air flow enter the inner to outer cylinder in sequence. After the Z-shaped reciprocating deflection of the machine body, the thermal energy is fully utilized to dry the sand,sand dryer thermal efficiency is as high as 80%.
4.Our sand dryer increases the pre-drying length of the wet material and extends the drying time of the wet material in the machine, which increases the dryer production capacity by 50-80% compared with the original single-cylinder dryer. The dryer cylinder is composed of three inner, middle and outer cylinders placed coaxially and horizontally, so that the cross-section of the cylinder can be fully utilized. The total length of its cylinder is approximately 30-35% of that of an equivalent single cylinder.
5.The dried sand is discharged through the discharging device. Water vapor is discharged from the chimney of the dust collection system. At this stage, The sand is completely dry. Different mortars require different mesh sizes of sand. After being screened through a vibrating screen, it can be used in various construction and engineering applications.
6.A temperature controller can be configured to reduce air loss in the induced draft system and increase drying output. Real-time monitoring and control of material temperature to improve thermal efficiency.
